ABOUT SFCCC

The Southeast Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (SFCCC) is made up of representatives from local health care providers and advocacy groups. SFCCC serves a networking and educational venue for those work in the cancer control field in Southeast Florida. The region includes Broward, Indian River, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie Counties.

Mission Statement: The SFCCC is dedicated to improve access to cancer care and to decrease the burden of cancer through a united effort by the promotion of education, advocacy, and research for the people of Southeast Florida.

Administrative support for SFCCC and management of its web page and ListServ is provided by the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center through the Disparities and Community Outreach Core. SFCCC was established in 2001 with funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through a grant to the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. It remains part of the network of cancer collaboratives in Florida (see "Florida Cancer Control Groups and Plans").
