Administrative support:
The Health Council of South Florida provides administrative and fiscal support for the SFCCC as part of a statewide agreement with the Florida Department of Health's Comprehensive Cancer Control Program's CDC grant to support all regional collaboratives in the state. From 2000 - 2011, the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center provided this support. Dorothy Parker, Manager of the Disparities and Community Outreach Core at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, manages the SFCCC web page and ListServ.

History: The SFCCC was established in 2001 with funding from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention through a cooperative agreement with the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The SFCCC is one of the regional cancer collaboratives in Florida coordinated by the Florida Department of Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program.
